Write & Hike with the Salmon! (10/19)
On Thursday 10/19, this easy, gentle write-and-hike retreat on the Dosewallips River Trail will showcase one of the icons of the PNW: spawning salmon!
Experience the salmon as you never have before!

In this Write-and-Hike Retreat, we’ll be communing with chum and pinks in the Dosewallips River while walking along the Old River Road.
Bring a pen, a journal — as with all of our retreats, this one will feature writing prompts and exercises to deepen our connection to our own creative selves through the natural world around us
About the Dosewallips River Trail
Due to the road washout 20 years ago, what was previously Olympic National Park’s very popular Dosewallips River Road has become a less-traveled foot trail, affording beautiful, tree-lined views on a wide, gentle trail with stable footing for those who appreciate a predictably flat path! If you’re feeling adventurous, there are also side-trails explore around the river, with ample time for group and individual writing exercises to deepen one’s connection to Self and nature.
Roundtrip distance is 2 miles with easy, flat grade and stable footing in a beautiful riverside setting in Brinnon, WA.
As with all our offerings, this mini-retreat is rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.
